IndieFest was great! It was our first time playing abroad, and it went really well. Despite unexpected Estonian heat, which propelled club's temperature to unbearable degree, there were people who listened to us! :D And they liked what they hear. We were featured in a couple blogs as one of highlights of the fest and that is both a great accomplishment and recognition for us. Martin Laine of www.helilaine.ee put us as #2 of the best performances of IndieFest, and here's what he says: In my previous article, I've already mentioned this group. Electronic and half-calm music isn't indicating that the main value of this group would come out from their live-performances, but band members really created a great live experience. Dominating bass-lines, originality and stylish songs + smile on the faces of the band members. Every louder and more intense rhythm left an enjoyable feeling because the music was structured really well. Somewhat dark, minor and psychedelic music may be the music of the future! BalticScene.eu gives their own review: Candee Train on the other hand are open to experimenting. That combined with their effortlessness and great musicianship created an enjoyable experience. The performance slowly grew more and more hypnotic. Inspirational elements from their influences (Radiohead, The Doors) developed further with personal musical touch and vision is what it takes to create fresh and alternative music. Candee Train’s sound is jazzy, especially percussions. Mysterious and psychedelic ambience from synths created a space to dwell in. They haven't quite managed to capture all that tension on their recordings yet but live was impressive.

We are proud to announce that Candee Train will be one of three Lithuanian acts at Tartu IndieFest this year. Tartu Indiefest brings to the audience indie music from Estonia and abroad as well as related films and discussions. As they describe themselves: Indiefest is an alternative music festival that brings the newest, most interesting and mind-blowing artists from Europe to Tartu. Indiefest will liberate you from your everyday surroundings – we will welcome artists to Tartu, whom you might never even heard of, but have always wanted to discover. We reveal the hidden sides of the independent culture, the exiting ideas that otherwise could just be left in to someone´s drawer or garage. The artists who you will see are true to the music in their hearts, mainstream is not something they are drawn to. We will take a ride on the wild side and we are inviting all of you to join us to enjoy the freedom – the independence. The main stage of the musical programme is at GenClub, where we shall appear on 22th of May.
More info: http://indiefest.eu/en/artists This time we shall mark the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's famous death, which happened precisely on April's 5th. Much respect. 20 years after, and he still influences some third world country's children. What we gonna do to celebrate this? No one knows just yet, but come and see it for yourself, for it may be the last chance so see this two-band-of-epic-proportions kind of gig. See you there! Post by Candee Train. We are excited to announce, that we are going to play together with one of the most awesome bands in Lithuania Arklio Galia, on 14th, this month in Kaunas, Punto Jazz Palepė. Prepare your 3d glasses, because it's going to be a trippy tripitty trip. Post by Candee Train. Loungecore band Candee Train releases third official music video for their song Forest Ground. First shown last weekend in Kaunas, this video created for the earlier released single, tells a story about girl's corpse in the forest.
Trying something different than in "Smell Your Fingers" or "The Island" video clip making, Candee Train decided to do everything themselves this time: one band member was responsible for filming, another for editing, third one was an actor and so on. This decision was made not only for financial reasons, but for being able to control everything too. A girl's ghost in the forest - it's a visual theme, that should be approached cautiously. One bad move and you end up with a very gothic looking music video, more appropriate for a metal band. Candee Train tried to show death, corpses and ghost in more beautiful, , even slightly sweet looking aesthetic. Music video was shot in three different locations: at Babtyno-Žemaitkiemio manor forest, already moved out Kaunas' Ministry of Fluxus and nearby lawn besides Kaunas' castle. The funniest scene that had been done - hands ripping vocalist's Agnes' dress. "We invited some friends, that wanted to participate. The position in which they had to film was really unpleasant - they had to be on all fours, grab me not seeing anything and at the same time dirt was dripping on their faces. We almost didn't get good shots, because we laughed all the time", - tells Agnė. The band is happy with the result they got, but they do not plan to film any music videos soon. "These days a musician has to be also a manager, a designer and a public relations person all in one. We tried to be music video directors too. It is an interesting activity, but in the future we'd like to have even better results, and that is possible only if everyone does the thing they know the best. That's why we are going to concentrate in music and future album recording for now." Never afraid to create outside of their studio walls Candee Train and quickly rising rapper Doo from O2 band present their collaboration results - a completely new song "No More Revolutions". Second single of Candee Train's upcoming album is musically a far cry from their first up-tempo hit "Forest Ground" and showcases calmer, more melodic, but emotionally more intense side of candees.
Always influenced by trip hop Candee Train wished to have a song with a rap part in their repertoire. Having finished the instrumental part of this song came long search for a suitable and willing rapper. By a happy coincidence Candee Train and O2 met at one musical competition and this contact helped the song to get it's final form. Lyrics of the song added to the instrumental part. First lyrics were written by candees themselves and they were exploring people's apathy, boredom, indifference. Later joined Doo says that it wasn't too hard for him to adapt: "This theme is very important to me. A lot of people are doing the same, copying and never creating anything new. They don't fight for any ideas, they don't have their own thoughts, they go with masses. There are no revolutions in their minds. We are all becoming vegetables through this." Song was recorded and filmed at "Megasonus" studio in Kaunas, and later mixed by our brilliant producer and friend Exhibitor. Candee Train was honored to perform at one of the biggest events in Lithuanian music industry - LRT Opus ORE Birthday bash. LRT Opus is the national radio and they do amazing live concerts representing all the best Lithuanian musicians, showing them on television and broadcasting them through radio frequencies. November 30th was their one year anniversary, which they celebrated massively: fifteen great artists performed, fifteen great artists were broadcasted live on the radio and online, fifteen great artists had to switch their gear in minutes between performances :) It was a huge event and a wonderful experience for us.
